The learning outcomes for this course are:

Apply appropriate building controls in New Zealand to the selection relevant construction techniques and building technologies for medium-scale buildings

Develop a construction strategy and produce standard structure and enclosure details of medium-scale buildings

Integrate key building services in medium-scale buildings and describe the interrelationship with architectural and structural design

Produce architectural drawings demonstrating how light and acoustics are incorporated into environmentally sustainable design and optimise human comfort

Calculate and analyse the environmental impacts of construction systems and materials
